Real-time SAR Image Formation
Visor's time-domain back-projection (TDBP) SAR image formation processor provides real-time processing of wide-swath SAR data. It uses GPU processors to provide real-time image production for high data rate imaging applications. In one application, Visor's image formation processor produces SAR images in real-time from two 60 km swaths collected simultaneously from the left and right sides of the aircraft.
Features:
Back-projection image formation for best quality images
Optimized to use one or more GPU processors
Adaptive Doppler tracking
RFI filtering
Range compression
Multi-look processing
User-defined range and azimuth windowing
Geo-rectification with digital elevation model
Antenna boresight calibration
Tested and validated at frequencies from UHF through X-band
Video SAR
Visor's real-time image formation software can be used to generate multiple SAR images that are arranged into Video SAR sequences. It is most effective for images created with short dwell times, such as those from X-Band SAR systems.
Video SAR is also valuable for finding directional targets and for observing changes in an area over short time periods.
Visor produces Video SAR with ground processing of circle SAR or spotlight-mode data at L-band to help identify directional targets such as wires, and at L- or X-band to look for changes in an area over the observation period.
Change Detection
Visor's Change Detection (CD) processing software works in both coherent and magnitude modes and is suitable for P-, L-, and X-band SAR imagery.
With Change Detection, the SAR sensor can detect scene changes, such as vehicle movement or tire tracks, while removing clutter from vegetation.
CFAR
Visor's GPU-accelerated CFAR algorithm instantly detects targets in SAR imagery and disseminates them over Ethernet. Features include tunable window sizes and detection thresholds, a standard or ordered-statistic algorithm, and plug-and-play integration with MPSI.
